Win a vacation! Go on a shopping spree! Trade in your points for a new set of luggage!
At times we’re inundated with offers to earn points for mileage, groceries, or travel, etc. As we accumulate points we may trade them in for rewards offered by different companies. Sometimes we’ll buy products, we normally would bypass, just to add to our totals, bringing us closer to the rewards we’ll qualify for from a list of desired offers that we can choose from.
Every day in our Christian walk we are making decisions that affect our eternal rewards. Rewards with eternal value are based on how we live life now. With all the attention placed on failing earthly rewards, it’s comforting to know we have treasures in heaven where thieves can’t steal, rust can’t damage, nor moths eat away and destroy.
Many are devastated with news that their life savings and pensions hold little, if any value. Carefully made plans are destroyed in a matter of days or moments after years of saving and planning.
Let thoughts of eternity guide your investments. Are you investing in the Kingdom of God, in another life, in your children, in a future far beyond all this world has to offer? It doesn’t go unnoticed by heaven. The interest is compounded daily and the benefits are more than secure!
Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.” NIV
